Membership InformationWhy Become a member? Just a few reasons:
* Variety- We are an all scales model train club, and also feature many full scale items, such as our BN Caboose & Roca Depot, "we play with the toys & the real stuff" * Railfanning- Ocassional club railfan trips, such as following UP steam * Layout Trips- Ocassional club trips to model train layouts * Train Shows/Events- We attend various train shows on ocassion such as the World's Greatest Hobby Show, North Platte Railfest & our annual train show in February, giving members an opportunity to run & show off their trains on our layouts There are five classes of membership in the
LAMRC&M as follows:
The family membership consists of the head of the household, the spouse, and all children thru the age of eighteen years old or twenty-one if a full time student. Both adult members and all minor children thru the age of eighteen, twenty-one if a full time student, shall have all regular membership privileges, with the exception of voting which will be limited to the adults and the minors who are a least twelve years of age or greater.
Student Membership: $15.00 per year or the optional payment of $5.00 quarterly. The student membership consists of age twelve through eighteen, or twenty-one if a full time student.
Sustaining Membership: $35.00 payable on a yearly bases only. The sustaining membership shall be defined as any organization, business, or individual that has access to, but not participation in the LAMRC&M activities. A sustaining member will be entitled to advertise in the Lincoln Pin monthly for a 1-column by 3-column inch ad. The sustaining member shall not be eligible to vote or to hold an executive office within the LAMRC&M.
Honorary Membership: In recognition of outstanding contributors to the LAMRC&M or model railroading in general, the special status of Honorary Member may be conferred by a two-thirds majority of the voting members present at the second business meeting following the proposed honoree's nomination.This status entitles the member to all rights and privialeges of the regular member except that no fees or dues shall be collected, nor shall the member be eligible to vote or to hold an executive office within the LAMRC&M. This Honorary Status shall remain in effect throughout the natural lifetime of the honoree.
